Ancasta showcases new brands at SIBS 2023
Ancasta International Boat Sales’ showcase of yachts, motor yachts, catamarans and RIBs at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS), 15-24 September 2023, will include award winners, new brands and those making their debut in the UK.
The Lagoon 51 and Beneteau First 36 both won at the British Yachting Awards 2022 and will make their UK premieres and show debuts at SIBS.
Lagoon 51
Winning the Multihull on the Year 2022 gong at the British Yachting Awards, the latest model from Lagoon Catamarans boasts extra-wide transoms, swim platforms and a large aft cockpit with plenty of seating and an extendable table for entertaining.
Optimised to 80 per cent of the coach roof area, the flybridge provides excellent visibility and plenty of seating for guests to relax alongside the helm.
The Lagoon 46 will also be on display.
Beneteau First 36
Taking home the award for Performance Yacht of the Year 2022 at the British Yachting Awards, the Beneteau First 36 builds upon the long heritage of the Beneteau First range.
Balancing comfort, performance, and utility, the First 36 was designed by sailors for sailors.
Ancasta says the Beneteau First 36 has proved popular since its launch in 2022 as a club racer or capable family cruiser, with the ergonomic deck layout lending itself to both short-handed and fully crewed racing, and the balanced Sail Area-Displacement ratio making her a lively day sailer.
The Beneteau First 44 will also be available to view as it makes its UK debut at the show.
UK premieres
Three new yachts from luxury motorboat brand, Prestige Motor Yachts, will be making their UK premieres: the Prestige X60, Prestige 690 and Prestige M48.
Prestige X60
Spacious living, natural light and easy flow of movement are said to have guided the design process for Prestige’s new X60. The X60 is designed for smooth cruising at speeds of up to 20 knots. Entirely open, the ‘infinity cockpit’ of this 18.9m yacht affords sea views and easy access to the saloon through a large electric sliding glass door.
Prestige 690
The flagship of the Prestige F-Line range, the 690 has a very spacious and comfortable flybridge equipped with BBQ grill and large dining area. In the lower cockpit area, there’s an L-shaped saloon with an aft galley, while large windows create a bright and airy space offering great vistas of the ocean.
Prestige M48
Launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2022, the Prestige M48 is the first power catamaran from Prestige Yachts. Taller than other power cats on the market, the M48 has a deep bridge deck linking the two hulls, promoting a similar look and feel as a monohull below deck, creating generous, brightly lit living spaces and full beam cabins.
Prestige will also be displaying it 520F and 5690F models at SIBS this year.
New Brands – Scorpion RIBs
New to the Ancasta portfolio and back at the boat show for the first time in a decade, the newly upgraded Sting 10m Open from Scorpion RIBs will be on display.
Built for ‘strength, endurance and safety’, and meeting Scorpion’s standards for a dry and soft ride, the Sting hull holds an outstanding number of race wins and world endurance records including the London to Monaco and Around the British Isles races.
The 100 per cent British made Sting 10m Open incorporates rear moulded seating units with the option of having an opening bow with fold out carbon fibre steps for delivering guests to the beach.
Protector Boats
With the brand making its UK show debut in 2022, the 310 Targa from Protector Boats will be representing this range of capable and durable utility RIBs at SIBS this year.
Developed for demanding commercial users, the 310 Targa has become an increasingly attractive option for serious recreational users and can be customised to suit all year-round boating needs. Featuring a 600hp Mercury Marine Verado outboard, the 310 Targa boasts a full-sized bimini centre console offering protection from the elements, while the 360-degree walkaround deck sports two anti-shock captain’s chairs.
Also, on show with Ancasta will be the Beneteau Oceanis 30.1, 34.1, 40.1 and 46.1, the Beneteau Gran Turismo 41 and 45 and Beneteau Swift Trawler 41 and 48.
